HOT MIX PAVING, EARTHWORK, CONCRETE BASE REPAIR INCLUDING FAST TRACK, STRUCTURE REPLACEMENT, CONCRETE MEDIAN WALL, SEWER, REINFORCED EARTH WALLS

This Contract is a testament to GBC’s commitment to remaining on the leading edge of technology and innovation.

• GBC performed their first Fast Track repairs on this Contract with overwhelming success. GBC is one of only a few Contractors in Ontario that have successfully completed Fast Track Concrete Repairs on the 400 series highways.
• GBC had not produced Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) prior to this Contract but willingly accepted the Ministry’s request to produce and place SMA on this Contract.
• GBC had not performed a segmental replacement of a post-tensioned bridge before nor had the Ministry, but that did not deter GBC.

GBC received the Ministry of Transportation Regional Paver of The Year Award for the superb performance in placing the SMA asphalt.
